# Devon Advanced Motorcyclists
Devon Advanced Motorcyclists (DAM) is a volunteer-led motorcycle training organisation based in Teignmouth that delivers advanced riding instruction to riders of all experience levels. Whether you're a novice seeking foundational skills, a returning rider needing a refresher, or an experienced motorcyclist pursuing mastery, DAM caters to your specific needs through personalised one-to-one coaching.
The club distinguishes itself through its commitment to affordability and accessibility. Rather than charging typical track day fees, DAM requests only modest contributions to cover fuel costs, as all instructors are IMI nationally qualified volunteers. Training typically spans six to seven road rides, ensuring progressive skill development in real-world conditions.
What truly sets DAM apart is its holistic approach to motorcycle culture. Beyond initial training, members gain access to over 200 fellow enthusiasts within the club, participating in further qualifications up to Masters level, organised group rides, social events, and international road trips. This creates a supportive community united by the belief that safe, skilful riding matters.
DAM operates year-round and welcomes all riders holding full licences and road-legal motorcycles. The club actively encourages new members through free taster sessions—two-hour experiences with qualified instructors that demonstrate techniques, build confidence, and showcase excellent local roads. This low-barrier entry point reflects DAM's philosophy that improved riding should be accessible to everyone passionate about motorcycles.
